Every great work of art starts somewhere
Located right down a dirt road in Hampton, our vibrant basement studio has become a great spot for kids to learn!
We hope you can enjoy some hands-on fun as we make something amazing together in this unique at-home art space. I value small group learning and experience were I can give each child my full attention, this space has been perfect for that.
What began as a homeschool classroom has begun to take different shape as my old children are back in school. I realized how much fun I was having teaching art to smaller groups and how much fun it was. And as it turns out, Charlie & Cooper felt the same way. You'll often find them right in the middle of it all.
The Lost Art Studio grew out of my love for teaching art and creating those rare, special spaces where we can unplug from technology and just be—side-by-side, in community, doing something exciting with our hands.

I’m not here to lead a high-pressure masterclass. I’m here to help you tap into abilities you might not even realize you have! There is nothing I love more than watching someone’s face light up when they realize, "Hey, I made this!"
So come on in! I’m excited to get to know you and your kids. You might enter through our front door or around the back and straight into our art space. You will definitely be greeted by our “Art Therapy Dogs” Cooper and Charlee, who will be your forever friends and sit by your feet as you paint! :)
Hi! I’m Betsy, and I’m so glad you’re here...
I am an all around creative soul who loves beauty, color, fabric and patterns. I’m a Maker, which means I always have a new project in the works! My life is a busy and beautiful one - as a mom of five, I naturally love the laughter of children and understand the energy they bring. Through our previous homeschool years I've loved teaching kids and having our home full! Now that my children are back in school I am excited to keep on teaching what I love.
Being a mom of five also means I deeply understand the value of a quiet moment. I cherish that "deep sigh" of relief when women finally get a chance to relax, breathe, and enjoy some real fellowship away from the daily grind. Art is a perfect way to do that. I hope we can enjoy some time together too!
